NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on a contract with WR Rico Richardson and waived (injured) LB James Gayle.
Richardson (6-1, 185) was an undrafted college free agent in 2013 from Jackson State who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was waived after training camp and spent time on the Chiefs practice squad last year. Following the season, he signed with the Houston Texans and was waived last month.
A two-year starter at Jackson State, Richardson played in 43 games and registered 146 career receptions for 2,722 yards and 26 touchdowns. As a senior he totaled 1,153 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 60 receptions.
