NASHVILLE, Tenn. --The Tennessee Titans signed OLB Kaelin Burnett to their active roster from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad and TE Richard Gordon was waived from the roster. Additionally, the team agreed to terms with OLB Chaz Sutton for their practice squad.
Burnett (6-4, 240, pronounced KAY-linn) has 22 games of NFL experience and has totaled 11 special teams stops in two seasons. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders, where he would play his first two seasons. Burnett played three seasons at Nevada as an outside linebacker and a defensive end. He played in 38 games, posted 10 sacks and forced three fumbles during his college career. Burnett is the younger brother of former University of Tennessee player Kevin Burnett.
Sutton (6-5, 263) signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 Draft and was waived at the end of training camp. He played in 50 games with 15 starts as a defensive end for the University of South Carolina. During his college career, he posted 75 tackles, eight sacks, four forced fumbles and one interception return for a touchdown.
