NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have done some roster shuffling leading up to Sunday's game against the Ravens.
On Tuesday, the team promoted linebacker Robert Spillane from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster.
Also on Tuesday, the Titans released receiver Nick Williams and quarterback Austin Davis.
Spillane led the Titans with 25 tackles in the preseason, when he also recorded a sack. He's spent the first five weeks of the season on the practice squad.
Williams rejoined the Titans last month after spending part of the offseason with the team. He had a 38-yard punt return against the Bills on Sunday, but he also dropped a pass as he headed into the end zone.
Davis was signed last month when back-up quarterback Blaine Gabbert was in the concussion protocol, but Gabbert is now healthy, and the No.2 QB behind Marcus Mariota.
The Titans also did some juggling on the practice squad on Tuesday.
The team signed linebacker Nigel Harris, who played at South Florida, and waived offensive lineman Coleman Shelton. Harris has spent time with the Chargers, Giants, Buccaneers and Cardinals. He's played in eight career NFL games since 2017.
