NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have agreed to terms with five players following the team's rookie minicamp over the weekend.
The group includes former Tennessee-Martin defensive back Joseph Este, who racked up 129 tackles, 11 1/2 tackles for loss, 18 pass breakups and four interceptions in two seasons at the school.
The Titans also added tight end Anthony Firkser (Harvard), linebacker Robert Spillane (Western Michigan), outside linebacker Tobenna Okeke (Fresno State) and defensive lineman Connor Flagel (Central Missouri).
All five players took part in the team's three-day minicamp at Saint Thomas Sports Park on a tryout basis, and were impressive enough to earn roster spots.
The Titans released quarterback Tyler Ferguson (Western Kentucky), defensive back Ryan McKinley (Montana), defensive back Elijaah Goins (Ohio State) and running back Larry Rose (New Mexico State).
McKinley, Goins and Rose signed with the team as undrafted free agents prior to the start of the minicamp. Ferguson, who spent time with the Titans last offseason and also spent time on the practice squad in 2017, also took part in the rookie camp over the weekend.
The Titans now have three quarterbacks on the roster – Marcus Mariota, Blaine Gabbert and Luke Falk, the team's sixth-round pick in the NFL Draft.
The rookies will join the veterans in the team's offseason program today.
