NASHVILLE – The Titans have made several roster moves leading up to Sunday's game vs the Raiders.
On Wednesday, the Titans signed two players off practice squads of two AFC teams while also placing two more on Injured Reserve.
Signed:
-Defensive back Terrance Mitchell, previously with the Patriots.
-Defensive back Andrew Adams, previously with the Steelers.
Placed on Injured Reserve:
-Defensive back Chris Jackson.
-Running back/Returner Trenton Cannon.
Mitchell, a seventh-round pick of the Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft, has spent time with the Cowboys, Bears, Texans, Chiefs, Browns, and Patriots after playing in college at Oregon. In 68 career games, including 47 starts, Mitchell has recorded 248 tackles with seven interceptions and nine forced fumbles. Mitchell played in 14 games for the Texans in 2021, when he made 13 starts. He signed with the Patriots earlier this offseason, and had been on the team's practice squad since being released from the active roster during final roster cuts this year.
Adams, who initially entered the NFL with the Giants as an undrafted free agent, has played with the Giants, Buccaneers, Lions, Eagles and Steelers in his career. Adams has played in 87 career games, with 35 starts, and he's recorded 190 tackles, seven interceptions and 22 passes defensed in his career. Adams played in 14 games for the Buccaneers in 2021, when he made three starts and recorded 24 tackles and an interception. Adams joined Pittsburgh's practice squad earlier this month after being released from the Giants in late August.
The Titans return to the practice field on Wednesday to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Raiders.
