NASHVILLE -- The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Here's a look at three quick hits from Thursday:
Derrick's Henry's Status
Titans running back Derrick Henry was back on the practice field on Thanksgiving Day, one day after leaving practice early and being listed on the Injury Report with a hamstring injury.
Henry was listed as limited again on Thursday, however.
Henry said he's working to be prepared for Sunday, "to be ready to go."
Titans coach Mike Vrabel said before practice the team is monitoring Henry, who had 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns on Sunday vs. the Jaguars.
"We'll see where he's at today," Vrabel said before practice. "I think that you get to this point in the season, and you're trying to get the guys that you really rely on to the game. That's a fine line of practicing and getting the things in that you need to get done, and then also getting those guys as rested for a physical football game that it's going to be this week – getting them ready."
Next Man Up in Secondary?
Cornerback Malcolm Butler was placed on Injured Reserve earlier this month.
On Thursday, his replacement, LeShaun Sims, missed practice for the second straight day with an ankle injury.
The injuries have bumped cornerback Tye Smith into the mix. Smith has played in four games for the Titans this season. He's played in 25 career games in his career, with three starts.
Vrabel said Smith has prepared well and is in a position to help.
"He's got good length. I think that he's been a good special teams player for us. There's been some versatility," Vrabel said of Smith. "I think the thing I would like to say about Tye (Smith) is, I feel like he's improved as one of those players on the show team that's gone out there and worked against A.J. (Brown), Humph (Adam Humphries, Corey (Davis), Tajaé (Sharpe), Kalif (Raymond) and all of them, and really improved. That's what excites me is that a player that's gotten better without a lot of game-rep opportunities throughout the course of the season to be ready for this opportunity."
Injury Report
In addition to Sims (ankle), linebacker Reggie Gilbert (knee) did not practice again on Thursday.
Safety Dane Cruikshank (ankle), cornerback Adoree' Jackson (calf), defensive lineman DaQuan Jones (ribs), defensive back Joshua Kalu (ankle) and receiver Tajae Sharpe (hamstring) all practiced again on Thursday and were listed as full partcipants.
Offensive lineman Kevin Pamphile (knee) also appears on the injury report, but he was a full participant once again in Thursday's session.
