NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans rookie running back Akrum Wadley isn't thinking about his future right now.

With two games to go in the preseason -- and 10 days before roster cuts – he knows he still has work to do to give himself a chance to make the team's 53-man roster.

"I just have to go out there and give my all," Wadley said. "And whatever happens, happens."

In two preseason games, Wadley has 40 yards on 12 carries, including a long of 12 yards. He's also caught six passes for 40 yards, and returned a kickoff 64 yards.

Wadley signed as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa, where he racked up 2,872 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis will provide the one-two punch for the Titans this fall, and coaches have raved about David Fluellen. In addition to Wadley, running back Dalyn Dawkins is also competing.

"I feel like I just have to be consistent and improve and not make the same mistakes I've made," Wadley said. "But I feel like I am having a pretty decent preseason.

"I am just trying to finish off strong, and then see what's up."

Evans returns -- briefly

Titans rookie linebacker Rashaan Evans returned to practice on Wednesday, but only for a brief time.

Evans was in uniform for stretch and took part in a handful of plays in individual drills. But he was shut down after that short appearance, and returned to work on his conditioning.

Coach Mike Vrabel said he's not quite ready.

"Rashaan wasn't feeling great after individuals," Vrabel said. "So we'll give him more treatment and we'll give him some more time and hopefully, as soon as he's ready we'll get him back out there."

Injuries

Tight end Delanie Walker, linebacker Brian Orakpo, cornerback Malcolm Butler, linebacker Derrick Morgan, receiver Michael Campanaro, safety Steven Terrell and safety Kendrick Lewis did not practice on Wednesday.

Receiver Rishard Matthews and Jack Conklin, who remain on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list, watched practice.

Receiver Deontay Burnett and Wadley returned to practice.
