NASHVILLE, Tenn. —** The Titans just wrapped up practice on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

On Sunday, the team will face the Los Angeles Rams at Nissan Stadium.

Pro Bowl**

Titans safety Kevin Byard wasn't among the team's three Pro Bowl selections announced on Tuesday.

Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, tackle Taylor Lewan and punter Brett Kern were named to the team, and Byard was named as one of the team's seven alternates.

Byard, who led all Pro Bowl free safeties in the fan voting portion and is currently tied for second in the NFL in interceptions with six, said he was disappointed.

But it's more fuel to the fire, he said.

"It's something I have been used to my whole life, from every level I have been playing football," Byard said. "From high school, with the (lack of) scholarship offers, to not getting invited to the combine, I just have to keep taking care of my own business and God always comes on time."

Byard said he's happy for his teammates who were picked.

"It just shows we have some good players on our team," Byard said. "I am really proud for Brett. He has been doing it for a long time, so I am really proud for him."

Byard said the support from fans and his teammates has meant a lot.

"It feels good for people to respect the game I have been playing," Byard said. "It stinks not to get into the Pro Bowl, but I think guys know and it is setting up for a better season next year."

Injuries**

Cornerback Logan Ryan (ankle) and defensive lineman Karl Klug (groin) did not practice on Wednesday.

Linebacker Derrick Morgan (knee) practiced on a limited basis, and quarterback Brandon Weeden was excused for person reasons.

Also, cornerback LeShaun Sims (hamstring) was limited as well.

"He just did it 40 minutes ago," coach Mike Mularkey said of Sims. "So well know more after we get the MRI."

Kalan Reed's chance?

With Ryan held out and Sims now dealing with a hamstring injury, Mularkey was asked about scenarios in the secondary for Sunday's game vs. the Rams.

Cornerback Kalan Reed has been on the 53-man roster all season, but he's been among the team's inactives for 13 of 14 games.

Mularkey said he'd be ready if needed. 

"He has really practiced extremely well, and he has done a great job four our 'look team'," Mularkey said of Reed. "He has really been absolutely somewhat of a pain as a cover guy. The unfortunate part is you have to put somebody down and with the numbers, he's that guy right now.

"But if he came up. … He studies it every week like he's playing so if he came up he would be prepared if that's the case."
