NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans just wrapped up practice on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.
On Sunday, the team will face the Colts in Indianapolis.
Three quick hits:
Byard leads AFC FS in Pro Bowl voting
Titans safety Kevin Byard leads the NFL interceptions with six, and he also leads all AFC free safeties in Pro Bowl voting by fans.
According to the NFL, Byard has 49,354 votes so far. He's the only Titan player ranked at the top of his position group in fan voting.
"I am actually a little bit surprised," Byard said. "I have been having a pretty good year, but the amount of support I have been getting, especially in the last few weeks, has been overwhelming and I am appreciative. Hopefully I can keep this great season going so I can get more votes."
Byard said he made his first Instagram process asking fans for Pro Bowl votes, and said friends back home reposted and asked other fans to vote. He said a lot of teammates have told them they play to vote for him.
Asked if he'll vote for himself, Byard smiled.
"I have," Byard said laughing. "I'm not going to lie. I did. I guess maybe it's because it's my first (time in the running), but I'm like, 'I want to get in there.' I am guilty. I am not going to lie.
"But I am more concerned with us finishing this season well as a team. I want to make it to the playoff and worry about this Pro Bowl stuff after."
Titans punter Brett Kern currently leads the NFL in punting average (51.9) and in net yards (45.6), but he's currently behind Oakland's Marquette King in the fan voting portion, which counts one-third.
Fan voting for the 2018 Pro Bowl will continue online and on web-enabled mobile phones at www.NFL.com/probowlvote until Thursday, December 14. NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on Friday, December 15.
Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on Tuesday, December 19 live on NFL Network's Pro Bowl special "NFL Total Access: Pro Bowl Players Revealed."
Thanksgiving Dish
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was asked about his favorite Thanksgiving dish on Wednesday.
"My grandmother still makes this cranberry dressing, and it is more of a dessert," Mariota said. "She passed in on to my mom, and now my mom passed it on to my girlfriend to have. It is really good. A lot of bad stuff in there, but it's enjoyable and I look forward to it tomorrow."
Injuries
The Titans turned in their injury report on Wednesday, and no one was listed on it.
"Everybody practiced," coach Mike Mularkey said. "Nobody was limited, it was all full-go. It might be a first for me.
"I'd say it's a rarity. But give the players a lot of credit for putting us in that position, and our training staff and strength staff. A lot of work goes into keeping these guys healthy."
