NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** The Titans just wrapped up practice on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

On Monday night, the team will face the Colts at Nissan Stadium.

Three quick hits:

**

Corey Davis update**

Titans receiver Corey Davis is making progress, but he's not expected to play on Monday because of a hamstring injury, coach Mike Mularkey said after practice.

"He is getting better, but he's not going to play this week," Mularkey said. "Hopefully I'll be able to give you a different answer next week."

Davis played in the season-opener against the Raiders, but reinjured his hamstring the following week against the Jaguars and hasn't played since.

Mularkey was asked if the team might consider holding Davis until after the bye week, which is on October 29, after the team's game against the Browns.

"I am pretty sure that is what it is going to be for (Johnathan) Cyprien, but I can't say that about Corey because we could use his help," Mularkey said. "So when he is healthy, we are going to get him in there. The extra week would be great, but if he is healthy we are going to go with him."

Mularkey said Davis, the team's first-round pick, would help the team "in every phase."

Cassel's mindset**

Matt Cassel started at quarterback in place of an injured Marcus Mariota last week in Miami.

This week he's on standby, unsure of Mariota's availability for this week.

Mariota practiced on Wednesday, but he was limited.

"You have to get ready to play," Cassel said Wednesday. "I don't know what the situation is going to be as we progress throughout the course of the week, but I have to get ready to play and build on what I did last week and get better obviously in situational downs and distances and stuff like that. I have to get ready to play and leave it up to the coaches and training staff and they'll let me know as the week progresses."

Other injuries

Titans tackle Taylor Lewan (knee) did not practice on Wednesday, but Mularkey was optimistic about his chances for Monday.

Lewan was held out of Wednesday's practice.

"He is good," Mularkey said. "He is another day by day. Do I think he is going to play? I am hoping."

Cyprien (hamstring) has been ruled on for Monday.
