NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** The Titans just wrapped up practice on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

On Sunday, the team will face the Seahawks at Nissan Stadium.

Three quick hits from today:

**

Davis ruled out**

Titans receiver Corey Davis has already been ruled out for Sunday's game because of a strained hamstring.

Coach Mike Mularkey made the announcement after practice.

Davis missed all of the preseason with a hamstring injury, and then he re-aggravated it again on Sunday in Jacksonville.

"We are trying to get him past this so we are not dealing with this in November,'' Mularkey said. "Any time you have to watch and can't play, it is very frustrating. He is so competitive, and he thinks he is letting us down. He is not letting anybody down. I know he is frustrated and disappointed he can't play."

In two games, Davis has seven catches for 73 yards.

Murray update, other injuries**

Running back DeMarco Murray is "day-to-day" with a hamstring injury.

Derrick Henry, who ran for a career-high 92 yards on Sunday, would start if Murray can't play.

"I just need to see he's capable of being an effective runner for us," Mularkey said of Murray. "He's got a couple days to do that."

Safety Johnathan Cyprien (hamstring) has also been ruled out for Sunday. Cornerback Tye Smith (hand) was limited in practice today.

Linebacker Aaron Wallace is headed for back surgery after being placed on Injured Reserve earlier in the day.

Mularkey said the Titans have the option of bringing Wallace back later in the season.

Dodd's chance?

With Wallace on IR, second-year linebacker Kevin Dodd and rookie linebacker Josh Carraway have a chance to be active moving forward.

Both players have been inactive the first two games of the season.

Dodd, a second-round pick by the Titans last season, played in nine games last season. Carraway, a seventh round pick in this year's NFL Draft, is looking for his first action in the NFL.

"It gives them an opportunity to get up, and have a chance to play," Mularkey said. "(Kevin) is on (special teams) – he is not starting on them. He'll get more work at it obviously with the absence of Aaron Wallace. It's something he'll have to continue to get better at, but this will give him more of an opportunity to be up this week."
