NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans rookie edge rusher Harold Landry returned to the practice field on Thursday.

Landry, sidelined since the preseason with an ankle injury, worked individually with Titans head coach Mike Vrabel early in practice. Later, he moved into drills with the team, Vrabel said.

Landry, who didn't play in the season opener, was listed as a full participant on the team's Injury Report.

"It was good to see him," Vrabel said of Landry. "It is good for me to get those injured/rehab guys in individual and kind of see how they feel, and a lot of times those guys start to feel better than what they thought, getting treatment or in the meetings. They get out, get on the field and start doing some things …

"He had a good day, and was able to make it through practice. … I hadn't seen him do anything for a little while – he's been with the trainers. So to be able to work in individual and see him, and see him go through practice was good."

Lewan Update
Left tackle Taylor Lewan did not practice for the second day in a row, and he remains in the concussion protocol.

Dolphins defensive end Andre Branch leveled Lewan with crack back block on Sunday. Lewan was listed on the team's Injury Report on Wednesday as "Did Not Practice."

"Taylor is still at home," Vrabel said. "So we'll reevaluate him tomorrow, and hopefully we can get him maybe doing some pull work, or on the return to play protocol."
