NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** The Titans just wrapped up practice on Thursday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

On Sunday, the team will face the Cincinnati Bengals at Nissan Stadium.

Three quick hits:

"He's a Speed Demon"**

Running back DeMarco Murray leads the Titans in rushing, with 391 yards on 95 carries. That's good enough for a pretty respectable 4.1-yard average.

Cornerback Adoree' Jackson leads the team with his average per carry (20.0), however, thanks to his 20-yard run against the Ravens.

Murray said he was impressed.

"He's an athlete," Murray said of Jackson. "He's a quick guy. I think he juggled it a little bit – he may have had the wrong hand out. But he did a great job once the ball was in his hands."

So, did Murray give a defensive player like Jackson any advice before his handoff?

"I just tell him to run," Murray said with a smile. "Run and don't get hit. But he is quick. He's a speed demon. So I think he is trying to run so fast (so) he won't get hit."

The Titans are currently 10th in the NFL in rushing offense.

Murray said the rushing attack will need to be successful in the second half of the season.

"Every week it is grind to run the ball," Murray said. "But we have to control the line of scrimmage and make some guys miss once we get past that first level. We are not panicking. Obviously it has been tough a couple of games, but we are winning.

"So at the end of the day whatever it takes to win. When we've needed the runs – Seattle, Indy – we have had those big runs. It is going to happen. We just have to be patient and go from there."

LeBeau on Byard**

Titans safety Kevin Byard has five interceptions in the past two games, and six on the season.

Since the 1970 merger, Byard is just the fifth player in NFL history to record five interceptions in a two-game span. The others: Hall (2010), Albert Lewis (1985), Willie Buchanon (1978), and Mike Haynes (1976).

Titans defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau, who had 62 interceptions during his playing career, said it's been fun to watch. 

"I think one of the joys of coaching is seeing young players improve," LeBeau said. "It is exciting, to be honest with you, to see these guys grow.

"He's had multiple picks (in games), and that's hard to do. I had some runs in games where I would get at least one in. If you play long enough, sometimes the ball falls in the right spot for you. But that's really extraordinary (what Byard is doing). … He is doing a great job.

"I don't think anybody is going to predict you're going to get three interceptions in a game – that's rare," LeBeau continued. "But the way he works and the preparation he puts in, he's going to be in the right spot and he's going to have some games where he gets picks."

Injuries

Guard Quinton Spain (turf toe), tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) and receiver Eric Decker did not practice again on Thursday.

Spain missed Sunday's game against the Ravens, and Brian Schwenke is in line to start in his place if he can't go.

Linebacker Derrick Morgan (knee) was a full participant in practice.

Murray, who has been dealing with numerous injuries, practiced again Thursday.
