NASHVILLE, Tenn. —The Titans just wrapped up practice on Thursday at St. Thomas Sports Park.
On Sunday, the team will face the Falcons.
Three quick hits after today's practice…
More work for DGB?
Titans receiver Harry Douglas is dealing with sore ribs, leaving his status for Sunday's game in doubt.
Rookie receiver Dorial Green-Beckham is expected to be on the field more as a result.
Green-Beckham played in a season-high 29 snaps this past Sunday against the Dolphins.
"I feel like I am ready,'' Green-Beckham said. "My reps have increased, and I've been getting a lot more playing time. So I don't see any problems."
Green-Beckham has six catches for 92 yards on the season. He admitted he occasionally gets too anxious, and needs to "take my time" on the field because of his excitement.
Ken Whisenhunt said he's liked what he's seen so far from Green-Beckham, the team's second round draft pick.
"There's probably a chance he plays more just because of the situation with Harry,' Whisenhunt said. "But he has been working into it more as the weeks have progressed. He's a young player, and that's what we're trying to do, bring him along."
Making progress
Running back David Cobb has practiced with the team the past two days.
The Titans opened their evaluation window on Cobb this week. He was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list before the regular season as he dealt with a calf injury.
"It is good to see him get back out and move around,'' offensive coordinator Jason Michael said, "and to see from a mental standpoint where he is in meetings. It has been good to see him...and hopefully over the next couple of weeks we'll get him more and more work and see where we are, where he is.
"He is going to be called upon at some point, so that way he's ready to roll."
The Titans have three weeks to evaluate Cobb before deciding whether he'll be activated or placed on injured reserve. The earliest he could play is Nov. 8 against the Saints.
Injury Update
Quarterback Marcus Mariota (knee), cornerback Perrish Cox (hamstring) and receiver Harry Douglas (ribs) did not practice on Thursday.
Safety Michael Griffin (knee) was limited.
