NASHVILLE, Tenn. —The Titans just wrapped up practice on Friday at St. Thomas Sports Park.
On Sunday, the team will face the Falcons.
Three quick hits after today's practice…
**
No Douglas, No Cox**
In addition to quarterback Marcus Mariota, the Titans will also be without two more starters in Sunday's game against the Falcons – cornerback Perrish Cox and receiver Harry Douglas.
Neither player practiced all week.
Cox has been slowed with a hamstring injury, while Douglas is dealing with sore ribs.
The Titans face a Falcons offense ranked fourth in the NFL.
"They are a good offense,'' Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "Our whole defense faces a challenge. That's what his league is....We know we have a real challenge with this offense and whoever is in there playing we expect them to (play well)."
Douglas spent the previous seven seasons with the Falcons before signing with the Titans in the offseason.
"He wants to (play),'' Whisenhunt said. "It's tough."
Vernon fined
Dolphins defensive end Oliver Vernon was fined $37,363 by the NFL on Friday for two roughing the passer infractions on Mariota.
Vernon was fined $17,363 for striking Mariota in the knee area in the second quarter, and $20,000 for striking Mariota in the head and neck area in the third quarter.
Mariota has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
Injury Report
Whisenhunt said the Titans will evaluate safety Michael Griffin (knee) on Saturday before making a decision on his status for Sunday's game.
Running back Dexter McCluster, defensive lineman Sammie Hill and linebacker Avery Williamson all practiced on Friday.
