NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans just wrapped up practice on Friday at St. Thomas Sports Park.
On Sunday, the team will face the Colts.
Three quick hits after today's practice:
**
Andrews fired up
Running back Antonio Andrews missed the first two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury.
He's ready to make up for lost time.
"I'm ready to hit the ground running, man,'' Andrews said. "I am ready to take advantage of the opportunity."
Andrews said his hamstring is feeling better, and his conditioning is good. He's practiced all week and is listed on the team's injury report as probable.
After performing well in the preseason, Andrews has watched other Titans backs the last few weeks. Bishop Sankey led the way in Week One, and last week in Cleveland it was Dexter McCluster, who had a team-high 98 yards.
Andrews wants the Titans to lean on him, starting in Sunday's game vs. the Colts.
"I want to show them why I should be the man, that is my goal,'' he said. "If you are eating, they have to keep feeding you. So I have to make them see me.
"But I have to deliver on the field. Enough talk, now it's time to show it."
DGB chances
Receiver Dorial Green-Beckham caught his first career pass on Sunday, and it went for a 13-yard touchdown.
The rookie played in 13 snaps in all against the Browns after playing nine snaps in Week One. Green-Beckham also played in six special teams snaps against the Browns.
Is more in store for DGB?
"He's working, and he is doing a nice job,'' coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "We were talking about that today, the difference in where he was today and where he was a few months ago is significant."
Whisenhunt said Green-Beckham still has a ways to go, "but I have been pleased with the way he's progressing."
Injury update**
Defensive lineman Sammie Hill (knee), cornerback Cody Riggs (knee), and guard Chance Warmack (knee) all missed practice on Friday and have been ruled out for Sunday's game.
Defensive backs Jason McCourty (groin) and Marqueston Huff (hamstring) practiced, and are listed as questionable on the team's injury report.
Tight end Delanie Walker (hand) practiced again and is listed as probable.
The Titans added linebacker Derrick Morgan (back) to the injury report on Friday. He's listed as probable for Sunday's game.
