NASHVILLE, TN, Dec. 18, 2008 —On Tuesday, in continuance with spreading holiday cheer to the needy, linebacker David Thornton partnered with Genesco and hosted nearly 350 children at the Martha O'Bryan Center as part of the *Cold Feet, Warm Shoes event.!
Linebacker David Thornton has hosted the Cold Feet, Warm Shoes *event since he joined the Titans in 2006.
Held for youth and teens between the ages of four and 18 who are enrolled in programs at the Martha O'Bryan Center, the children were fitted with new shoes, socks, hats and winter wear.
Thornton was joined by teammates Vincent Fuller, Chris Hope, Stephen Tulloch and Fernando Velasco in helping the children try on shoes while taking pictures and signing autographs. Titans Cheerleaders Ally and Julia also came out to lend a hand.

Thornton first got involved with Cold Feet, Warm Shoes in 2005 while he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts. When he joined the Titans in 2006, he decided to host the event in a community he calls "rich with genuinely good people" to assist children who otherwise wouldn't receive many Christmas gifts. Thornton has held the event each year since he arrived in Tennessee in 2006.
