TEXANS QB CASE KEENUM
(on how his hand is feeling)
It's feeling good. It's definitely a little sore, but I was able to go out there and sling it around and do everything that I needed to do.
(on whether he will play Sunday)
Yes. That's how I'm preparing. Barring any setbacks, I think I feel pretty good.
(on the team keeping it together despite losing 13 straight games)
It's definitely been tough. This league is tough. If it were easy, I think everybody would be doing it. We've got a lot of fighters on our team. (There are) a lot of winners that may not have won a whole lot of games this year, but we're going to continue to fight, continue do our best every time we get a chance to go out there and play. Heck, this is the NFL. We've got a chance to go out and play in an NFL game against a great team. We're all excited about it.
(on playing with Andre Johnson)
A guy like that who's been doing it a long time and doing it at a high level for a long time has seen a lot of different times around here. He's been around a lot of football. Having a guy like that just shows you how to work, how to act during the week, how to prepare and go out and play at a high level on Sunday. It's definitely someone we strive to have the same work ethic as.
(on taking advantage of his opportunities this season)
This season definitely hasn't gone quite as we planned; I don't know how many actually do. I thought I might get some playing time at some point this year coming in but just didn't know quite how. To get the chance that I've had, it's been great. I've enjoyed playing. I've had a lot of fun. We obviously haven't won. It's harder to have fun when you're not winning, but it's a great opportunity to go out and play football. That's what I love doing. I love competing. I love going out there every day and doing my dream job.
(on spending extra time with Jonathan Grimes)
We came in together as undrafted free agents, so we spent a lot of time during the offseason and even when we were both on the practice squad getting some extra routes in and throwing. He's been one of my good friends for a long time, and I'm glad to have him back.
(on his familiarity with Jonathan Grimes)
We're not just working on a week's worth of reps together. We were together all of training camp and offseason last year. We were able to spend a lot of time doing some extra stuff. Anytime I needed someone to throw to extra when we weren't practicing, he was my guy.
(on Andre Johnson's career)
He's a guy that just seems to answer the call whenever he's called on no matter what. He's got a lot of ways of getting it done. He continues to amaze just making some incredible catches or getting open in key situations. A guy like that, you just tend to keep looking at because he keeps making plays. It's been a privilege to be around, and it's something I'm definitely going to be able to tell my kids one of these days that I got to throw him the football.
(on Jurrell Casey and who else stands out on the Titans' defense)
He's obviously a very talented player and has had a good year I think. As a defense, they did a good job of mixing things up last time we played. It seems like a long time ago, and it was, it has been. They've obviously changed a little bit over there, but they're a good defense. I think they do a good job playing zone when they want to do that. They can play man, and they can match up and play man when they need to as well. Pressure wise, they do a good job of mixing the pressure. We've got to be prepared for everything. We're ready to do that, and it'll be a good test for us.
(on his alma mater playing Vanderbilt in the BBVA Compass Bowl)
I don't know if I want to give you guys any more than you already need. I think Vanderbilt's a good team, and our boys have their work cut out for them. I'm excited about our guys getting a chance to play in a big bowl game. I like our chances.
(on whether he will be attending the bowl game)
I don't know. I don't have any plans past this Sunday right now.
