(on how fun it was to play well with everything the team has been through the last two weeks)
All the work that we put in, all the hours of just pushing each other and trying to get better paid off. We had 16 days that we had to get through and those hours showed up. To see it manifest makes this win even better. At the end of the day we are 4-0 with a lot of games left. It's still early so we have to continue to have that growth mindset and look forward to the next one.
(on if the sky is the limit for this team with its belief and mental toughness)
We just believe in each other, you hit it right on the money. That's all we do, is believe and trust that we are going to play for the guy next to us and for the entire organization. That's what it comes down to, just having passion and having love for what we do and caring for the guy next to you. There's success within that.
(on what led to such a fast start despite having just one walkthrough practice)
We took advantage of what we could do, whether it was virtual meetings or what. Elite athletes are going to run fast, be strong and jump high. That's what we've been doing our entire lives. We are the best at it when playing at this level. We knew that that would be here, it's just getting better and getting everything on the same page. It was just a little tougher because we couldn't do that physically. We did what we could do at home, we are professionals and you have to be self-motivated to get what you can get at home to prepare for the game. A lot of these guys have been playing at this level for a long time so we know what it requires and we do what we can do.
(on if the outside talk and doubt served as motivation)
Block it out. Everyone has their ways of dealing with things. I honestly didn't pay attention to what was going on in the media, I just knew it wasn't good things. Whether it be good things or bad things, me as a player I just try to block all that stuff out because it's not good for your mindset. People try to write you off when it may not be as bad as it is, or amplify things when it's not as good as it is, so I just try to keep it even-keel and go out there and play the game with passion. I've been doing this since I was four or five years old and I still have that same love and passion I had then. Don't get me wrong, I love the love and support from our fans and this great support system in the city and the Southern area and we definitely appreciate that, but I just block that stuff out
(on if the team was playing with a chip on its shoulder after having two games rescheduled)
We've always been that team, that's been our identity. We're not flashy. We aren't the team that's going to get all the primetime games, but we find ways to win. It may look ugly and may be by like one or two points, but we get it done. That's what we preach. We pride ourselves on being a team that establishes a culture in locker room and believes in each other.
(on scoring his fourth touchdown in five games)
It feels great to continue to be a contributor to this offense, team, and organization. I'm just going to keep doing what I've been doing and continue getting better. I've got a lot of things I need to clean up. I did some good things and I have to get the things cleaned up I didn't do too well and continue with that mindset.
(on if he saw Ryan Tannehill's landing on his touchdown run celebration)
Yeah we saw that. 'Don't do that again, don't do that again man.' Ryan (Tannehill) is good for giving us a good scare. I don't know if it's because its October and Halloween is coming up and wants to scare us, but he's got to chill out. We need you. He's getting a little bit of tough love.
