NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans signed TE Brett Brackett to their active roster from the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. The team placed TE Taylor Thompson on injured reserve (knee) to make room on the roster.
Brackett (6-5, 246) originally joined the Titans on September 9 as a member of their practice squad, after spending training camp this summer with the Miami Dolphins. He played in two games for the Titans (vs. Jacksonville and at Washington), before being waived and claimed by Seattle. He played in one game for the Seahawks and then was waived and added to their practice squad.
Brackett entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dolphins in 2011. Additionally, he has logged time with Jacksonville, Philadelphia and Arizona. Brackett played in 52 games at Penn State and totaled 56 career receptions for 714 yards and seven touchdowns.
