NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans mascot T-Rac will join Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Saint Thomas Health on Friday to unveil a new B-Cycle station at 20th and Church St. near Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital.
Starting at 11 a.m., the kickoff party will include a ribbon cutting, giveaways, food and brief remkars by Mayor Dean. Parking will be available in a surface parking lot at 1911 State Street.
A partner with the Mayor's Office and Metro Nashville Health Department, Nashville B-Cycle launched in December 2012 as a fee-based bike-share initiative operated by the Nashville Downtown Partnership. It is a next-generation bike-sharing program that offers an affordable way of getting around cities and college campuses, good for healthy living and the environment.
Nashville B-Cycle tracks mileage and calories burned, as well as the carbon offset of each trip, demonstrating the health and environmental benefits of bike-sharing in the community.
Saint Thomas Health is proud to partner with Nashville B-cycle to contribute to a healthier community. The addition of a B-station at 20th and Church brings the total number of stations to 23.
