NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and coach Mike Mularkey attended an Honor Eagle Ceremony on Wednesday night at Fort Campbell.
The ceremony was in honor of BG Scott E. Brower, Deputy Commanding General, BG John E. Novalis, Deputy Commanding General for Support, and BG Steven W. Gilland, Deputy Commanding General for Operations of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
The Titans and the 101st Airborne Division have developed a strong bond in the past year.
The Titans traveled to Fort Campbell last week and spent a day on the base. Players went through an obstacle course, and Mularkey and General Manager Jon Robinson spent time with U.S. Army leaders.
Last month, the Titans welcomed members of the 1st Brigade Combat Team "Bastogne" 101st Airborne Division to Saint Thomas Sports Park, where strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson put company commanders through a strenuous workout.
Also last month, Strunk did a tandem jump with the Army Golden Knights following an invitation from Brower.
"We've always had a close relationship with the 101st Airborne," Strunk said, "and between them coming to our games and having the gameday experience with them, and Mike and Jon doing programs with them, we've became very close, (and) have close relationships with a lot of these people."
