NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans have announcedthe complete itinerary for the Academy Sports + Outdoors Titans Caravan, a regional series of free, public autograph signings. The Caravan will make 20 total stops in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama from May 2 through May 9. A special public stop will be made in Paducah, Ky., on June 13.
Academy Sports + Outdoors Titans Caravan public stops are free events that allow fans to meet players, T-Rac and the "Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith. Posters are provided at no cost to all Caravan attendees for autographs, and photos are encouraged. Public stops generally last one hour.
Players scheduled to appear on this year's Caravan include outside linebacker Derrick Morgan and tight end Delanie Walker (May 2); nose tackle Sammie Hill, tackle Taylor Lewan and safety Da'Norris Searcy (May 4); safety Michael Griffin, cornerback Jason McCourty and outside linebacker Brian Orakpo (May 5); defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, wide receivers Harry Douglas and Justin Hunter (May 6); running backs Dexter McCluster and Bishop Sankey and linebacker Avery Williamson (May 7); and defensive lineman Karl Klug and guard Chance Warmack (May 8-9).
This year, there will be two special non-public stops. The Caravan kicks off with a unique visit to the Tennessee Army and Air National Guard headquarters on May 2. The Titans are throwing private Day 3 Draft party for the military personnel at the base and Morgan and Walker will join other Titans players to sign autographs for the soldiers in attendance. Titans Caravan will then make a special visit on Tuesday, May 5 with soldiers and family members of the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army at Fort Campbell, Ky. Griffin, McCourty, Orakpo, T-Rac, Titans cheerleaders and staff will be part of the stop, as they take the opportunity to thank our troops and their families for the great sacrifice that they make for all of us.
There will be one additional stop on the Caravan of a unique nature: an appearance in Paducah, Ky., on June 13 in connection with the George Wilson S.A.F.E.T.Y. Foundation's Annual Football and Cheer Camp. Titans players and cheerleaders will take part in the camp which will be held at Paducah Tilghman High School from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Titans Caravan began in 1998 as a small effort to spread goodwill through the region. Today, nine full-time staffers travel with Titans players and T-Rac through the Mid-South on a specially-decorated motor coach. Since 1998, the Caravan has made over 800 stops and allowed the team to interact directly with an estimated audience well in excess of 200,000 fans.
