Favorite moment from the 2019 season?
We literally started the season on fire, and ended on a playoff run for the history books! My favorite moment was Logan Ryan intercepting TB12 to end his career in New England.
Favorite Titans player
Steve Mac9 – when the Titans came to Nashville, before the Metro Center Practice Facility was built, they practiced in Bellevue. Steve had a condo in Bellevue and forged some good friendships. I would see Steve on most Mondays after game days at Dalton's Grill in Bellevue. I never bothered him, just giving the ole "Good Game Mac9" or kind wave. Loved Steve's drive, but most of all his winning attitude he and the others had in early 2000s.
Favorite Nissan Stadium moment
There are a ton of moments, but taking both my young boys as a family to their first NFL games is my personal favorites. My favorite recent game moment had to be against the Iggles (eagles) September 30, 2018. We were down 14 in the 3rd quarter and forced OT. Iglles kicked field goal in OT, giving our Titans a chance to go score. Marcus and the offense converted 3 fourth downs on their way to Marcus hitting Corey Davis on a 10-yard TD on 3rd down with 15 seconds before the end of OT. Unreal!!!
Favorite away game moment
Far and away Super Bowl 34, January 30, 2000 – I was there! We had such a great trip except for the last tackle. I spent way too much money to go. My favorite moment was seeing Mac9 escape two Rams defenders and hit Kevin Dyson for a 1st down at the 10-yard line with 6 seconds to go. OMG!! We didn't make the last play, but holy moly that moment will always be my favorite away game moment
What are some of your game day traditions?
20+ years of games changes a lot traditions. In the early days before kids, we would have a world class tailgate with a giant crew in Parking Lot E. My best friend and I would try as hard as we could to spend $100 per game on beer during the game, #idiots. After kids, we would arrive as close to gate opening as possible to get down to the field for autographs and get on the TitanTron. Titans shutoff going to the field pre-game unless you have tickets. These days, my wife and boys, are a bit more traditional by having a good breakfast and making it to the stadium in time to walk through the Tailgate in the South end zone before the game. One tradition that has held true every year, year in year out is listening to "The Voice of The Titans" Mike Keith, Home and Away.
What is one item on your Titans bucket list?
A Super Bowl win is the easy answer. The one thing I've always wanted to do is be a spotter for the Titans Radio broadcast or just see how Mike and Coach do their thing during a game. Titans Radio is as much a part of my fandom than any coach, GM or player!!
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
The best piece of advice is now my life motto, "The Answer is NO, unless you ask!" I can't tell you how many upgrades, freebees, and other things of value that I've gotten in life by simply asking for it. Try it! Ask for the upgraded hotel room or better rental car or whatever you know there is something better, and see what happens!
