NASHVILLE – The Titans made a number of roster moves on Sunday, including parting ways with five players, moving another to Injured Reserve, and placing yet another player on the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Veteran OLB/DE John Simon has been released by the team, along with defensive back Clayton Geathers.

The team also waived defensive lineman Freedom Akinmoladun, defensive back Nate Brooks and linebacker Cassh Maluia.

Also on Sunday, running back Brian Hill was placed on IR after being injured in Saturday night's preseason game against the Bears.

Additionally, the team placed center Ben Jones on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. If a player falls into either of these categories, his club is required to immediately place the player on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

All NFL teams must be down to 53 players by Tuesday at 3 p.m.
