NASHVILLE – The Titans announced a few roster moves on Thursday, on the 53-man roster and practice squad.
-Linebacker David Long Jr., claimed off waivers by the Titans (from the Lions) on Wednesday, failed his physical on Thursday and he will not be joining the 53-man roster.
-The Titans signed kicker Matthew Wright to the team's practice squad.
Wright (5-11, 174) has played in 27 career NFL games over parts of five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2020, 2022), Jacksonville Jaguars (2021), Kansas City Chiefs (2022, 2024), Carolina Panthers (2023) and San Francisco 49ers (2024). The University of Central Florida product has connected on 51 of 59 career field goals (86.4 percent) and 40 of 42 extra point chances for 193 career points. In 2024, he has made good on 11 of 12 field goals and all five extra point opportunities with San Francisco (one game) and Kansas City (two contests).
-The Titans have waived tackle Kellen Diesch from the team's practice squad.
The Titans face the Jaguars on Sunday in Jacksonville.
