NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts at Nissan Stadium.
Here's a look at some Titans topics in quick-hitting fashion:
-Defensive lineman Denico Autry has been beastly since joining the Titans last season, especially vs his former team, the Indianapolis Colts.
Autry led the team with two sacks, and he added a forced fumble, in the team's Week 4 win at Indianapolis.
This week, Autry said it's just another game when he faces the organization that let him get away after the 2020 season.
"It really is just another battle," said Autry, who played for the Colts from 2018-2020. "It's another week in the NFL, man."
Autry, who recorded nine sacks for the Titans in 2021, has four sacks and 17 quarterback pressures in five games in 2022.
On Sunday, the Titans will face a Colts team that's been throwing the ball more of late with quarterback Matt Ryan, who completed a career-high 42 of 58 passes for a season-high 389 yards and three touchdowns a week ago vs the Jaguars.
"They are protecting a little better, and they kept the quarterback clean last week – they've changed it up a little bit with the pass rush," Autry said of the Colts. "We need to do a good job this week."
-Titans linebacker Zach Cunningham, who suffered an elbow injury vs the Raiders and has missed the past two games, did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Titans outside linebacker Bud Dupree (hip), who missed the Commanders game and played just nine plays vs the Colts before aggravating his hip injury, was back on the practice field again on Friday. Dupree is good to go for Sunday's game.
-Safety Amani Hooker (concussion) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go for Sunday's game.
-Titans linebacker Joe Jones (hip), injured in the first game and Indianapolis before missing the game against the Commanders, did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Titans guard Nate Davis, who missed the Washington game because of a foot injury, did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Titans fullback Tory Carter, who has been dealing with a neck injury, did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-The Titans added receiver Kyle Philips to the Injury Report on Friday with a hamstring injury. Philips was limited in Friday's practice and he's listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game.
-Practice squad quarterback Logan Woodside was back at practice on Friday after not practicing on Thursday.
-A large number of Titans this week have worn t-shirts that pay tribute to those close to them who have battled cancer. On Friday, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel discussed family members close to him that he's thinking of during the NFL's Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative.
-The Colts on Friday ruled out LB Shaquille Leonard (concussion/nose/back), DE Kwity Paye (ankle), WR Keki Coutee (concussion), and LB JoJo Domann (abdomen) for Sunday's game vs the Titans. RBs Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines practiced all week for the Colts, and they're expected to play on Sunday along with everyone else on the team's Injury Report.
-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Saturday leading up to Sunday's game vs the Colts.
