NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans receiver Corey Davis, like a lot of his teammates, experienced highs and lows during the first half of the season.

He had a game-winning catch in overtime vs. the Eagles, which was part of a nine-catch, 161-yard game. He was also guilty of a few drops, and caught just eight passes for 83 yards in the three contests after the breakout game vs the Eagles.

Davis said his focus heading into the second half of the season is to be more consistent – and physical.

"I just have to be more consistent – pass game, run game and in all aspects," Davis said on Thursday. "I have to be more consistent catching the ball, and getting open, and doing what I can.

"One of the things is being physical. I have to work on my game all around, and I will continue to do that and try to get better. … I have to be more physical."

Davis has 30 catches for 395 yards and a touchdown this season.

He's part of a receiving corps that's going to need to rise to the occasion in the second half of the season. The Titans elected not to make a move at the NFL trading deadline at the position.

"We have to go with what we've got," Davis said. "I have confidence in these guys, and it feels good to know they have confidence in us as well. We all have to keep doing our jobs and keep taking it to the next level."

Plan for Fowler?

The Titans signed fullback Jalston Fowler earlier this week, and the running backs in the room have embraced the move.

But what will Fowler's role be moving forward?

Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur was asked that question after practice on Thursday.

"I think we're just trying to figure that out right now," LaFleur said. "But I've seen a lot of tape of him from years past when he was here, and that's why he's back here, because we definitely saw something in him and think he can help us somewhere along the line.

"It's just a matter of when that will be. We are still going through that, and he is learning our offense. Lucky for him is he was Atlanta, and there's a lot of carry over with the terminology and what we ask these guys to do. I think it is just a matter of time before we feel comfortable getting him in there."

Injury Update

Linebacker Derrick Morgan (shoulder) did not practice on Thursday.

Guard Josh Kline (ankle) was limited, along with Davis (hamstring).

Linebacker Will Compton, Kenny Vaccaro and guard Quinton Spain all practiced in full.
