NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans just wrapped up Day 6 of training camp.
Here's what you need to know …

What stood out**
• The defense made several nice plays, including an interception from cornerback Adoree' Jackson that made the play of the day (keep reading) and a fumble recovery from cornerback LeShaun Sims. I also noticed the defense in run drills. At one point, after the defense stuffed running back Derrick Henry on an outside run, linebacker Brian Orakpo shouted: "There's no action! There's nowhere to go."
• The pads were popping early, and linebacker Avery Williamson was right in the middle of it. Williamson stuffed David Fluellen on a run up the gut.
• Receiver Eric Decker continues to make plays. He got into several physical battles against cornerback Brice McCain in one-on-one drills, and ended up catching several contested balls. McCain argued Decker pushed off on at least one, however. Decker also made a number of plays in team periods.
• Henry has been getting extra work this week, and he's taken advantage of it. Henry also showed off his hands on Thursday when he got open – and caught – a pass downfield. Fluellen and running back Khalfani Muhammad have been getting more reps as well. I noticed Muhammad a few times today with the ball in his hands. Fluellen has flashed throughout camp.
• Defensive back Kalan Reed intercepted quarterback Alex Tanney in one-on-one drills.
• Receiver Taywan Taylor continues to make plays in drills. Titans coach Mike Mularkey praised him after practice.
• Receiver Jonathan Krause is having a very nice camp himself. The former Vanderbilt star has been making contested catches since Day One. On a play today, cornerback Demontre Hurst was in a great position to intercept a pass, but Krause somehow ended up with it.
• Kicker Ryan Succop capped off one offensive period with a 44-yard field goal.
• It was a solid day for receiver Rishard Matthews, who made a number of nice grabs.
• The defensive line/linebackers won the championship belt in its competition against the offensive line. Linebacker Erik Walden drew a hands to the face penalty on tackle Dennis Kelly on the final play.
Play of Day
Rookie cornerback Adoree Jackson seems to be getting better each day, and on Thursday, he turned in the play of the day.
Defending against Decker, Jackson stepped up and intercepted quarterback Marcus Mariota near the end of practice. Jackson initially intercepted the ball with one hand before securing it with his body.
Decker was flagged for a facemask on Jackson at the end of the play.
"I know he has play-making ability," linebacker Brian Orakpo said. "It's great to see him out there making plays for us. That was huge, a big-time interception. We need those turnovers."

Story of the Day**
Receiver Corey Davis, the team's first-round pick, left practice early because of a hamstring injury.
"They are doing an MRI on him right now," Mularkey said. "I'll know more about him after he gets back from the MRI."
Davis was off to a nice start in training camp.
On Thursday, he made a number of catches while working against defensive backs in one-on-one drills, but he injured the hamstring after making one of them. Davis headed off the field with trainers after the injury, and headed to the locker room.
"Am I worried about that?,'' Mularkey said. "I am not worried about that -- it is part of the game. It is out of my control right now, and we'll try and do whatever we can to get him back healthy. But we are OK at that position."
Injury Watch
• Running back DeMarco Murray did not practice because of a hamstring injury. Murray watched the end of practice in his uniform, wearing sweatpants. Mularkey called the injury a "tweaked" hamstring, and said he's day-to-day.
"We had him inside, and had him being treated," Mularkey said of Murray. "It is not serious."
• Receiver Tajae Sharpe did not practice again. He was placed on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list at the start of camp because of the foot injury he suffered earlier in the offseason.
Other notables
• National reporters Jason LaCanfora (CBS), Dan Pompei (Bleacher Report) and Kevin Clark (The Ringer) were all on hand on Thursday's practice.
• Former Titans linebacker Tim Shaw attended practice.
Next practice: Friday, 7:15 p.m. at Centennial High School.
