NASHVILLE, Tenn. –** Quick Hits and Observations from Day 10 of Titans Training Camp

Here's what you need to know …

What stood out

• Receiver Tre McBride continues to make plays in camp. McBride showed off some nifty footwork on the sideline on a number of catches, including one from quarterback Marcus Mariota. Coach Mike Mularkey praised McBride after practice, but cautioned he needs to be more consistent.

• Rookie Adoree Jackson's arrow continues to point up, and it's going higher. Jackson made a spectacular interception in one-on-one drills on a ball Mariota threw to receiver Jonathan Krause. Later, Jackson showed off his speed – and shiftiness -- in the return game.

• Rookie Taywan Taylor made some nice plays on Monday night, including a catch on a deep ball thrown by Mariota in one-on-ones. Several representatives from Western Kentucky, where Taylor starred, were on hand to see it.

• Running back Derrick Henry busted off a number of nice runs inside and out, but his catch and run made Play of the Day. Keep reading for more on that play… 

• Linebacker Justin Staples batted down a pass from quarterback Matt Cassel. Later, linebacker Daren Bates knocked one down at the line of scrimmage as well.

• Safety Johnathan Cyprien and linebacker Brian Orakpo did their best to make life difficult for Henry, stuffing him on one play during a run period. Cornerback LeShaun Sims greeted Henry at the line of scrimmage on another play.

• Mariota rolled out and found tight end Jonnu Smith, and the play looked like it could be dangerous on Sundays.

• Kicker Ryan Succop was a perfect 4-for-4, connecting on field goals of 33, 37, 41 and 41 yards.

• Rookie running back Khalfani Muhammad struggled catching punts, dropping three in a row at one point. Mularkey said catching punts is new to Muhammad, and he'll get more work.

• Tight end Jace Amaro went up high to pull in a pass from Cassel.

• Defensive back Kalan Reed continues to show up by being in good position. He had a nice breakup on a ball thrown to Taylor late in practice.

• Mariota showed off his speed on a run to the outside, and it was viewed as yet another encouraging sign.

Play of Day

Henry continues to get extra work with DeMarco Murray slowed with the hamstring, and he continues to make the most of his opportunities.

Henry excited the crowd with a nice run after catch on Monday night.

After Mariota faked an end around, he threw the ball to Henry on a screen. The Heisman Trophy-winning back then turned and ran it roughly 70 yards for a touchdown. Henry looked fast as he barreled down the sideline.

Story of the Day

(Mariota will play on Saturday against the Jets, Mularkey said after practice, so that obviously qualifies for Story of the Day. But Titans Online did a full-blown story on that development, so we're bouncing to another cool story).

In its place here: Alumni Day.

The Titans hosted a number of former players during Alumni Day at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

Thegroup included guard Benji Olson, tackle Brad Hopkins, receiver Derrick Mason, receiver Kevin Dyson, cornerback Reynaldo Hill, center Kevin Long, linebacker Gerald McRath, safety Chris Hope, receiver Chris Sanders, fullback Collin Mooney, tight end Craig Stevens, receiver Joey Kent, tight end Casey Cramer, tackle Daniel Loper, and center Eugene Amano.

The former players had dinner in the cafeteria before practice, and toured the facility.

Injury Watch**

Murray (hamstring) was on the field in uniform, but was limited in practice. Murray said he's getting closer to returning.

Defensive lineman Karl Klug did not practice because of a sprained ankle, and is day-to-day. Linebacker Erik Walden was held out with a groin injury.

Receiver Corey Davis (hamstring), receiver Tajae Sharpe (foot) did not practice.

Other notables

• Chris Randgaard, a Titans season ticket member from Hendersonville, made a field goal in practice, and was lifted off the ground and onto the shoulders of tackle Taylor Lewan. Randgaard was awarded signed football from the o-linemen.

• Running back Brandon Radcliff, signed on Sunday, practiced with the team for the first time.
