KANSAS CITY –** Derrick Henry wasn't happy with his performance in the season-finale.

The Titans running back felt like he ran "soft" against the Jaguars.

Here on Saturday, Henry took it out on the Chiefs in the team's 22-21 win in the AFC Wild Card round. Henry ran for 156 yards and a touchdown – a big 35-yard scoring scamper in the fourth quarter as the Titans rallied.

"He ran the hell out of the ball," tackle Taylor Lewan said of Henry. "It was unbelievable. That guy wants it. He wants it bad."

Henry wasn't hard on himself after this one, not on a day when he made it hard on the Chiefs to tackle him.

"I just wanted to have a better performance than I had last week," said Henry, who averaged just 1.8 yards per carry in the season finale. "I just wanted to be able to help the offense … and be explosive to help this team win."

Henry was better. A whole lot better.

"Derrick was lights out," center Ben Jones said. "He's a tough guy. He got probably 99 percent of the snaps back there, and he was rolling late. He's a beast."

Starting for the second straight week in place of an injured DeMarco Murray, Henry averaged 6.8 yards per carry against the Chiefs. He was big early and late for the Titans. Henry closed door with a 22-yard run on third and 10 late in the contest, which allowed the Titans to run out the clock.

"Derrick ran like a beast," tight end Delanie Walker said. "He's probably one of the biggest backs in the league, and he ran like it today."
