NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Wide receiver Nate Washington's The 85th Foundation is hosting 'The Annual 85th Foundation Turkey Giveaway' for 125 deserving families in Nashville's Northwest Community.
Each year, the foundation provides educational workshops, football clinics, and basic human need giveaways that impact, inspire, and improve the quality of life in various communities.
This year's event will take place at the Northwest YMCA (3700 Ashland City Hwy, Nashville, TN 37218) on Tuesday November 26 at 7 p.m.. Nate himself, as well as some of his Titans teammates will be in attendance to hand out turkeys to the families.
"As a member of the Nashville community, I strongly feel that I have a responsibility to give back and improve the circumstances of those who need a little help in their strive for success," Washington said. "Nashville is where I live and work. This community deserves my best not only on the field, but off the field as well. Our annual "Turkey Giveaway" provides an opportunity to do just that. I hope we can make a difference for as many families as possible this holiday season."
Established in 2008, Washington started the 85th Foundation as a non-profit organization with a focus on inspiring youth through education, economic empowerment, leadership, and physical fitness. Washington's charitable works are proof that he believes in the 85TH Foundation's mission statement: Impacting the community, by inspiring the youth. The 85th Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 registered organization. All contributions are tax deductible.
