NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The **National Football Cheerleaders Alumni Organization (NFCAO)** held their bi-annual reunion this past weekend (July 27-29) in Nashville, TN. Nearly 500 NFL alumni cheerleaders of all ages and background came together to celebrate comradery, passion for the sport and women's health. The weekend consisted of a welcome kickoff party, fitness & glam expo and an awards gala at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.

Nashville was chosen as the host city for the 2018 Reunion with past event cities including Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, and Buffalo, NY.

"It was an honor to host such an incredible group of women and men this past weekend," said Jennifer Hill McMillan, Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders Alumni President. "This reunion served as an opportunity for alumni cheerleaders from all over the nation, whether they cheered in 1963 or 2017, to celebrate our success, friendships and love for the NFL."

The Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders Alumni hosted the group for a weekend full of activities that was sponsored by Azura Vascular Care. The Fit, Glitz, and Glam Expo was held at The Aertson Hotel | Kimpton and featured various retail vendors including Stella & Dot, My Style Scoop, Elle Gray Boutique, Fit Mama in 30 LLC, Karmadee Laine Designs, Southern Beads Co. and more. One of the featured events included attendees trying Goat Yoga hosted by Goat Yoga Nashville.

The Awards Gala was held at Nissan Stadium with award-winning journalist and former sports reporter, Lisa Guerrero and country music artist and radio host Chuck Wicks serving as emcees. The ladies dressed in Hollywood glamour attire for the evening that included a reception, dinner and an awards presentation. In addition, the 5th Special Forces Group, Airborne Military unit from Fort Campbell served as special guests to escort for the women down on the red carpet.

The following awards were presented:

2018 Humanitarian of the Year: Mandy Ellen, Oakland Raiders (88-93)

Mandy Ellen received this award for her commitment to serving the community and fellow alumni through her organization, TKO, which is dedicated to a "kindness on the go" mentality that has spearheaded activities from elderly support to sponsoring summer camps for undeserved kids globally.

2018 Young Influencer: Donna Windsor, Jacksonville Jaguars

Since the inaugural season of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995, Donna Windsor has served as a long-term cheerleader and has worked with the Jaguars Honor Rolls foundation, Child Cancer Funds, girls youth cheerleaders camp or cancer survivor women's Dragon boat team.

2018 Survivor Honoree: Angela Rouech Lima, Tennessee Titans (2011-12)

Angela Rouech Lima is a beautiful young mother, wife and breast cancer survivor. Her fight against breast cancer, now a survivor, inspired us all.

As attendees sat down for dinner, they were welcomed with a written statement from Tennessee Titans Owner Amy Adams Strunk

"On behalf of the Tennessee Titans, I want to personally welcome you to Nashville for the NFL Alumni Cheerleading Reunion. Cheerleaders have a long history in our game. You have contributed to the entertainment in our stadiums and have touched so many in our communities. Similar to our football teams, women (and men) from all walks of life and backgrounds come together, and through countless hours of practice, create an elite group of performers. Your passion for our game and for our fans is evident every week. Community service is another hallmark of NFL Cheerleading squads and the connection those squads make within their communities. We appreciate your dedication to our teams and know that those on-field and off-field experiences will be life-long memories. I hope you have a wonderful weekend renewing friendships and adding to those cheerleading memories."

The National Football Cheerleaders Alumni Organization was founded in 2009 by Terri Crane-Lamb, President, Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Alumni and Mickey Crawford-Carnegie, Falcons Cheerleaders Alumni.

The NFCAO is comprised of team chapters of alumni with a mission to encourage former NFL cheerleaders to continue to contribute to their local and national charitable organizations, connect and support fellow alumni who are in need. The NFCAO motto is "United and Forever Strong."
