NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Titans announced Saturday that starting right tackle Michael Oher (toe) has been placed on injured reserve, ending his 2014 season.
Second-year defensive back Khalid Wooten has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
Oher had missed the team's previous two games, marking the first time in his six-year career that he'd been out of the lineup. Byron Stingily will likely receive his third straight start at right tackle in Oher's absence.
Wooten has spent the first two seasons of his NFL career on the Titans practice squad after being drafted by Tennessee in the sixth round (202nd overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft. Any snaps he receives Sunday agasint the Jets will be the first of his career.
The second-year defensive back will provide a lift to a Titans secondary that placed starting corner Blidi Wreh-Wilson on IR earlier this week.
