NASHVILLE, Tenn. --The second annual Mayor’s Field Day with the Tennessee Titans is right around the corner. Join us at LP Field on Saturday, May 4 beginning at 9 a.m. Activities will last until noon. Ride any MTA bus for free from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean has challenged and inspired Nashville residents to get more physically active through several highly-successful healthy living campaigns, including "Walk 100 Miles with the Mayor" and the "Mayor's Challenge 5K Walk/Run."
"Mayor's Field Day with the Tennessee Titans" was created as a new event in 2012. All together, these efforts have engaged thousands of Nashvillians as the Mayor has worked to improve our city's overall health.
Mayor’s Field Day was created as an event specifically geared towards Nashville's youth. Tennessee has the nation's fourth-highest childhood obesity rate. The numbers are equally distressing in Nashville where 38.1 percent of our youth are either obese or overweight.
Mayor’s Field Day is designed for families and individuals of diverse fitness levels. Participants are engaged in a relaxed, tournament-type event designed around learning new, fun, kid-friendly ways to be active. Attendees will enjoy creative games, a fitness fair and the chance to meet and interact with Tennessee Titans players and T-Rac.
In an effort to get our youngest Nashvillians and their families excited about moving and being active, the Mayor's Field Day experience is open to the public free of charge.
Mayor's Field Day is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, please check the front page of this website for any updates.

New for 2013: Mayor Dean is challenging all Nashville elementary, middle and high schools to compete against each other to see who can get the largest percentage of their student population to pre-register for Mayor's Field Day by Monday, April 29. Learn more on our school challenge information page.
Participants will be grouped together in teams of 10 to complete the on-field activities:
• Team Trolley
The on-field activities kickoff with the team Trolley that will quickly unite your teammates in a fun team-building activity. Team members must work together to move the wooden team trolley with rope handles from the start to finish line without falling off. To successfully do this, teammates must work together to move the trolley in unison.
• Tire Roll
A cone course will be set for team members to navigate a car tire through in a figure-eight style. One teammate at a time will roll the tire through the course and back and then pass the tire on to the next team member to compete the tire roll relay as quickly as possible. The relay ends when all ten team members have successfully rolled the tire through the course.
• Three-legged race
This classic field day activity is sure to bring back some nostalgia. Two team members will compete to be the first to race to the finish line and back while tied to together at the leg.
• Relay Race
Each team will run their players through a relay race.
• Football Toss
We'd be remiss to give Nashvillians an opportunity to play where the Titans play without a chance to throw a football while on the field! Team members will work together to successfully throw ten footballs into the target can. Once all ten footballs have made it to the target, team members will cross the finish line as a group to complete the on-field activities.
Off-field activities (located in the concourse and parking lots):
• Adventureworks
Adventureworks is bringing an obstacle course to Mayor's Field Day. Give the course a try and compete with your team to see if you can beat each other's times to complete it!
• ACTIVEBUYS Stage
ACTIVEBUYS has coordinated a day full of activities for attendees at Mayor's Field Day. Upon check-in at Mayor's Field Day, attendees will receive a schedule for the ACTIVEBUYS exercise stage. They will be providing attendees the opportunity to try a variety of exercise classes (such as the popular Zumba fitness class) for free! They will also have an ElliptiGO course where attendees can give the ElliptiGO outdoor elliptical bicycles a try (high performance fitness devices that combines the best of running, cycling and the indoor elliptical trainer)!
• Bike Ride
Try out Nashville's East Bank Greenway at Mayor's Field Day! We will have bikes and helmets on-site for attendees to bike the greenway
• Water Stations provided by Coca-Cola
Inside and Outside of LP Field there will be water stations available to stay hydrated throughout Field Day. When exercising and playing, especially on warm days, it is extremely important to stay hydrated. Visit one of the Coca-Cola water stations to get a drink of water, or refill your FREE Mayor's Field Day water bottle!
