NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Representatives from the LP PENCIL Box and the Tennessee Titans delivered a portion of the supplies collected during the Sept 18 game to Nashville's John Early Museum Magnet Middle School on Friday. T-Rac, the Titans Pro Bowl mascot, was on hand to help deliver more than $6,000 worth of school supplies to the school.
"We think this is an excellent opportunity to serve one of Nashville's most deserving schools and its families. We are proud to help build a better future for Metro education," LP Corporate Affairs' Thomas Sanders said.
LP PENCIL Box, a collaborative venture between PENCIL Foundation and LP Foundation, offers Metro teachers the opportunity to shop free twice per year for classroom school supplies, benefiting Nashville's most needy school children. Since its inception in 2005, more than $2.5 million worth of school supplies has been distributed to students whose families cannot afford to purchase them.

"We are excited that thanks to generous Tennessee Titans fans, we are able to stock the shelves at LP PENCIL Box as well as provide additional needed supplies to students at John Early Museum Magnet," said Kimberly Washington, program manager.
"Our organization continues to seek opportunities in which we can assist today's youth and we're pleased that the PENCIL Box drive was such a success," said Titans Executive VP Don MacLachlan. "Mr. Adams (Titans Owner) has long supported the educational system throughout our region and that includes assisting young students with the basic necessities required to get their class work accomplished. We share LP's commitment towards the PENCIL Box program and appreciate the assistance that our friends at American Paper & Twine provide these drives as well."
