Last Sunday's LP PENCIL Box Drive collected over 20,297 items with an associated value of $23,325. |
Sunday's drive proved to be successful yet again as Ulli Heregger, LP PENCIL Box program manager, reported that over 20,297 items with a total value of $23,325 were collected from generous Titans fans. Volunteers from LP Building Products and the PENCIL Foundation were on hand to collect donated items at the seven different donation sites around LP Field.
"We are grateful to have the support of LP and the Tennessee Titans," said Ulli Heregger, LP PENCIL Box program manager. "This has become our biggest school supply drive each year thanks to the generosity of Titans fans. In the last three years we've collected $50,000 in school supplies, which really helps us, start the year off right."
The Titans have a strong commitment to helping Nashville area school children and hosting this drive is one way the Titans show their community support.
"The Titans are very excited to partner with LP's effort to provide school supplies for Nashville's less fortunate students," said Don MacLachlan, Titans EVP of Administration and Facilities. "LP has an incredible desire and very generous history of aiding many charitable endeavors throughout the country."
