Aloha Titans fans...
After a busy week, game day finally arrived!!! This week has flown by! We arrived at the stadium bright and early Sunday morning via police escort! I have never felt like such a celebrity! We had motorcycle cops on all four sides of our vans and we even had traffic stopped for us!
We went straight to the field for pregame practice. Immediately following we changed into our team uniforms and headed to a pregame tailgate party!
The atmosphere was so laid back and there were fans everywhere. It was great to see some Titans jerseys in the crowd. We performed and signed autographs and then it was back to the Aloha Stadium. We took the field and again I had so many emotions running through me as I looked around and realized I was the ONLY one in a Titans uniform. I was so proud and honored!
My favorite part of the entire game was player intros. As each team's players were introduced, the respective cheerleader stepped into the line to recognize her team players. The NFC went first and then the AFC. The teams were called in alphabetical order, so we went near the end. I was so proud that we had so many wonderful and talented players representing us and it was great to see familiar faces.
The game was wonderful and went by incredibly fast. And although the AFC didn't win, it was one of the best moments of my life. It's crazy to think that in less than a week, this group of amazing women from 26 teams can come together and unite as a new team. It was also a ton of fun to have the mascots from various NFL teams around. The energy was amazing and I wish it could have lasted forever.
The end of the game was very bittersweet! I am retiring from the Titans squad after a great four-year run and it was sad to think it was my last NFL game to perform in, yet wonderful to think what this new squad accomplished. The fans at the Pro Bowl truly love the cheerleaders and it left us with such emotion.
We reflected on the week and the game afterwards in the locker room and then headed to a very yummy team dinner!
I got some family time on Monday and then I'll head back to Nashville on Tuesday night! Thanks to my squad for choosing me to represent you!
