Today started off bright and early with breakfast at 7:15. During that time, we also were able to introduce ourselves to the group, as well as meet the other cheerleaders that arrived late to Honolulu.
I have to say, I have NEVER been so proud to exclaim that "I am Lindsay representing the Tennessee Titans." I am so honored and proud to be in Hawaii representing such an amazing organization and group of women. I have to thank all of my cheerleader sisters for voting me to represent them, I will represent you to my fullest and know that you are in my heart (I have a group squad photo from our Christmas party on my bedside table).
We also had a motivational speech from Michael, the President of E2K. He is such an amazing man and it was great to hear how the tradition of having Pro Bowl cheerleaders generated and how the program has evolved over the years.
After breakfast, we headed out to the hotel pool area to take our squad photo. I have to tell you - I never thought I would be typing this, but it was windy and COLD in Hawaii! It was freezing and so windy that the pool was literally raining on us. But, being the professionals that we are, we powered through and created a beautiful team poster!
After a quick bite to eat, it was then time to begin rehearsal. We practiced from 12:30-5 and then again from 6-10:30. Yes, it was quite long and we were all sweaty, stinky and drained by the end, but it was so much fun as well.
We received a DVD to learn material (12 dances in total) prior to arriving to Hawaii so it was great to put the dances together as a whole and find out our line assignment. I am part of AFC 2, including Ryann from the Jets, Marlina with the Chargers, Jessica from the Bills, Shonica from the Colts, Tasha from the Ravens, and Serrita from the Raiders.
The ladies are incredible! The second round of practice was dedicated to learning the ore-game dance. Tomorrow is off to the races again....We'll refresh the pre-game routine and then we begin appearances! My line has the opportunity of going to the Aliamany Military Reservation.
