(On the difference between first and second game)
"That was the difference between today and last game – I was trying to make a lot of plays last game, today I was trying to be a good teammate, be in my gap. If I had to go against a 300-pound lineman, just make sure I'm staying in my gap and being strong. And, just run to the ball. That's what I thought about today."
(On the importance of just doing your job and not trying to do too much)
"Yeah, especially this week going against them I had some reps where I had lost this week and so I saw the same match-up in the game and I was wanting to just do some extra. But I tried to stay with my technique and just do what the coach asks me to do, and just really play my butt off – that's all I can do."
(On if the presence of the fans tonight affected his performance)
"I wasn't really focused – I wasn't focused where I needed to be [last game]. I was trying to make plays for myself rather than just trying to go out there and do my job. I don't think the fans had a whole lot to do with that. We played with fans at [the University of] Houston. This week, I received a message from one of my brothers. He just told me to have confidence, that the Lord had placed me here for a reason and just to continue to think about giving him the glory, so that's why I try to do it every play. I'm blessed to be out here. I'm really not supposed to be out here, I'm really not that athletic, like, being real. But I'm trying to give him the glory for putting me here and just doing my absolute best, that's all I can do. No matter what, if I get cut or I get to another team, whatever it may be like, I have the confidence that I did everything I could and I did my best. That's really what I was focused on this game in compared to last game. I was just like, "You know what, if I make a mistake, oh well. I'm going to go out there and do my best and be a good teammate.'"
