NASHVILLE, Tenn — Sunday, October 11th marked the 17th annual Junior Titans Cheerleader program and 10th annual Junior Mascot program. Approximately 100 children ages 6-13 from across Tennessee and the surrounding areas participated in three intensive workshops taught by current Titans Cheerleaders to prepare for their halftime performance.
This year, Titans Cheerleading Director Stacie Kinder planned the program around the NFL's "A Crucial Catch" initiative and created the largest breast cancer awareness halftime show in Titans history. Fifteen breast cancer survivors, each one related to a junior performer, were honored on the field during the performance in celebration of their victory against cancer!
"It was a special day," Kinder said. "The breast cancer survivors were able to celebrate life on the field with their young loved one in front of tens of thousands of Titans fans. It created great memories for these families."
