NASHVILLE, TN, Dec. 5, 2008 — Titans safety Chris Hope hosted a special evening for fans, "Night with the Secondary," dinner to benefit Soles4Souls. The evening, held at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, included a hibachi-style dinner cooked by Titans players and chefs and a silent auction. The event benefited Nashville-based non-profit, Soles4Souls, that donates both new and used shoes worldwide.!

Joining Hope for the evening's festivities, were teammates Keith Bulluck, Chris Carr, Cortland Finnegan, Vincent Fuller, Michael Griffin, Nick Harper, Reynaldo Hill, Donnie Nickey, David Thornton and Stephen Tulloch. Titans players cooked a surf and turf dinner for fans, posed for photographs, signed autographs and encouraged guests to bid on silent auction items.
Hope, a national spokesperson for Soles4Souls and Titans Community All-Star for his charitable efforts, donates his time to the charity by helping distribute shoes to those in need in the Nashville area. He also donates $100 for each tackle and uses his weekly radio show to promote the cause. He recently donated $8,000 for his success on the field for the 2007 season.
Soles4Souls is challenging bloggers and social media users to raise funds for 50,000 pairs of new shoes in 50 days ending on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008. The monetary donation is small with $5 buying two pairs of new shoes. Fans can click a button to have the shoes donated in honor of Hope or anyone of their choice. All donations are tax-deductible. After 50,000 pairs have been donated, one person (with a guest of their choosing) will be selected at random to deliver the shoes they purchased to someone in need on one of Soles4Souls' trips to Mexico. This is an opportunity to "Step Up" and help Soles4Souls with their mission of "Changing the World, One Pair at a Time" with "One Click at A Time."
Fans wishing to support Hope and honor his dedication to the non-profit can help today by visiting the new Soles4Souls fundraising website, www.50000shoes.com.
