Game Notes: Titans vs. Panthers

TEAM NOTES

· The Titans scored a touchdown on a drive that used eight plays and went 94 yards, spanning the third and fourth quarters. It was the team's longest scoring drive of the season in terms of distance and its longest drive since a one-play, 99-yard rive against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 6, 2018.

· The Titans scored touchdowns on both of their possessions in the red zone. It marked their third consecutive game to score touchdowns on each of their trips inside the opponent's 20-yard line. They have converted eight consecutive red-zone chances into touchdowns, their longest such streak since scoring nine consecutive red zone touchdowns form Weeks 5-7 in 2016. On the season, the Titans are 16-of-23 in red-zone efficiency (69.6 percent).

· The Titans' touchdown in their only goal-to-go situation at Carolina gave them 12 touchdowns in 13 goal-to-go possessions in 2019 (92.3 percent).

· The Titans totaled 431 yards on offense at Carolina, their highest total since a 473-yard game against the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 16, 2017.

· The defense produced three sacks, giving the Titans three or more sacks in six of the team's nine games this season.

WR A.J. BROWN

· Led the team with 81 receiving yards on four receptions.

· Recorded a 35-yard reception on a pass from Ryan Tannehill in the fourth quarter.

· Caught a short pass and went 23 yards in the second quarter.

OLB KAMALEI CORREA

· Recorded his first sack of the season (4.5 career sacks) by dropping Kyle Allen for a three-yard loss in the first quarter.

DB DANE CRUIKSHANK

· Recorded his first career blocked kick, getting his hand on an extra point attempt by Panthers kicker Joey Slye in the fourth quarter.

WR COREY DAVIS

· Tied for second on the team with four receptions for 48 total yards.

OLB SHARIF FINCH

· Notched a seven-yard sack in the second quarter. It gave him a career-high two sacks in 2019 and 3.5 total sacks in his two NFL seasons.

RB DERRICK HENRY*·*

Led the team with 63 rushing yards on 13 attempts with one touchdown, and he added three receptions for 36 yards and one touchdown.

· Logged his second career game with at least one rushing touchdown and at least one receiving touchdown (second of 2019).

· Scored on an eight-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give him six rushing touchdowns in 2019.

· Has at least one rushing touchdown in 10 of his last 14 games (since Dec. 2, 2018) and leads the NFL with 14 rushing touchdowns over that period.

· During the team's the third-quarter touchdown drive, which was eight total plays, he accounted for 47 rushing yards on seven carries.

· Registered a 23-yard touchdown reception on a screen play in the fourth quarter. The score gave him a pair of touchdown receptions in 2019 and three career touchdown receptions.

WR ADAM HUMPHRIES

· Tied for second on the team with four receptions and finished second on the team with 65 receiving yards.

· Posted a 25-yard reception to convert a third down in the third quarter.

C BEN JONES

· Deactivated for the first time in his eight-year NFL career due to a concussion.

· His streak of 120 consecutive games played and 88 consecutive starts came to an end. Prior to the game, his consecutive games streak tied Kansas City's Mitchell Schwartz for the longest active streak in the NFL among offensive linemen, and his starting streak ranked first in the NFL among all centers.

OLB HAROLD LANDRY III

· Recorded his first career interception. In the first quarter, he picked off Kyle Allen's pass that was intended for wide receiver Jarius Wright but tipped by safety Kenny Vaccaro.

· Logged his second consecutive game with a takeaway. He had a fumble recovery against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 27.

· Helped stall a Panthers drive with an eight-yard sack on third down in the second quarter. The play gave Landry a team-high six sacks in 2019 and 10.5 sacks in his two-year career.

· Also credited with two tackles for loss.

RB DION LEWIS

· Totaled four rushing attempts for 20 yards and a team-high five receptions for 33 yards.

· Registered a season-long 15-yard run in the first quarter.

· Recorded a season-long 24-yard reception late in the second quarter.

WR KALIF RAYMOND

· Registered a 14-yard catch in the fourth quarter, his second career reception and his first since Nov. 19, 2017 as a member of the New York Giants. He totaled 19 yards on two receptions in the contest.

· Returned three kickoffs for 69 total yards (23.0 avg.) with a long return of 32 yards.

WR TAJAÉ SHARPE

· Totaled 31 yards on two receptions.

· Forced a 42-yard defensive pass interference penalty in the first quarter.

· On a 16-yard reception in the fourth quarter, reached the 1,000-yard career receiving mark.

QB RYAN TANNEHILL

· Completed 27 of 39 passes for 331 yards and one touchdown (82.3 passer rating).

· Recorded his 18th career 300-yard passing game and his notched his second 300-yard game in a three-week span. His 331 passing yards were his most in a game since a 387-yard performance against Seattle on Sept. 11, 2016 as a member of the Miami Dolphins.

· Added four rushing attempts for 38 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. It was his first rushing touchdown of 2019 and his seventh career rushing touchdown.

· Picked up 25 yards on a run in the third quarter, leading to a Titans touchdown. It was his longest rushing attempt since Dec. 27, 2015, when he had a 28-yard run against the Indianapolis Colts as a member of the Miami Dolphins.

· Completed a 35-yard pass to wide receiver A.J. Brown in the fourth quarter.

· Completed a 23-yard touchdown pass on a screen play to running back Derrick Henry in the fourth quarter.

· Recorded his third career game with at least one rushing touchdown and at least one passing touchdown.

· Recorded his first career game with at least 300 passing yards and a rushing touchdown.

S KENNY VACCARO

· Helped cause an interception in the first quarter. On Kyle Allen's pass that was intended for wide receiver Jarius Wright, he tipped the ball, and it was then caught by outside linebacker Harold Landry III.
