NASHVILLE -- The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Here's a look at three quick hits from Friday:
The More You Can Do
Titans receiver Kalif Raymond made one of the biggest plays of last Sunday's game with his 40-yard catch for a touchdown in the fourth quarter in Indianapolis.
Raymond is in line for an increased role this week.
The 5-foot-8, 182-pounder will not only get some more work at receiver, but Raymond is also in line to handle both aspects of the return game against the Raiders – punts and kicks.
"It's just another opportunity to go out there and show what I can do," Raymond said. "And I just have to be prepared for anything they ask me to do, whether it's punt return, kick return, receiver, gunner, anything."
Raymond has been the team's primary kick returner in recent weeks.
With Adam Humphries and Adoree' Jackson sidelined late in last week's game, Raymond stepped in and fair caught a punt.
Humphries and Jackson didn't practice all week and they've been ruled out for Sunday's game.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel mentioned Amani Hooker as another guy who could handle punts, if needed, and he named Dion Lewis as an option on kickoffs.
Raymond handled punts and kicks at previous stops with the Jets and Giants.
"I think how much you like doing it is based on how much you trust the guys in front of you, and I have full faith in the guys in front of me," Raymond said. "It is another opportunity for me to make plays."
Facing Josh Jacobs ... Again
Titans linebacker Rashaan Evans and Raiders running back Josh Jacobs have a history together – they were teammates at the University of Alabama.
On Sunday, they'll meet again in the hole, at the Black Hole.
"They were epic," Evans said of the practice battles with Jacobs. "He's always been a really good runner – a really hard-nosed runner who likes to run to contact. He's just showing what he had been doing in college in the NFL."
Jacobs has 1,061 yards and seven touchdowns on the season. He missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday, but was back on the practice field on Friday and is expected to play vs the Titans despite dealing with a shoulder injury.
"That's the Bama way – you play hurt, regardless of the injuries you find a way to get it done," Evans said before discussing Jacobs further with a smile. "I think it's his shoulder, whatever it is. Since I am the opponent we're going to try and take full advantage of that."
Delanie Update
Titans tight end Delanie Walker said at his 7th Annual Holiday Shopping Spree for kids earlier this week he plans on playing in 2020, but after going on Injured Reserve last month, he acknowledged his troublesome ankle needed further attention.
Walker, who was in the locker room on Friday, said a procedure is scheduled for next week.
"I am having a procedure done, and that is pretty much the bottom line at the end of the day," Walker said.
"It's just a clean-up pretty much. There was something loose (in the ankle) and they felt like they needed it to get cleaned (up), and it may be causing the pain in my ankle. So that's where we are right now. … I think once I get it fixed I should be great."
Injury Report
Cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson (foot), LeShaun Sims (ankle), Adam Humphries (ankle) and linebacker Daren Bates (shoulder) have been ruled out for Sunday's game.
All four players missed practices throughout the week.
Titans receiver A.J. Brown was added to the Injury Report on Thursday with a calf injury, but he practiced in full on Friday and is good to go.
Receiver Tajae Sharpe (hamstring) is listed as questionable on the Injury Report after being limited on Friday.
Running back Derrick Henry (hamstring), center Ben Jones (thumb) and receiver Corey Davis (not injury related) appeared on the Injury Report during the week, but they all practiced on Friday and are expected to play.
Defensive lineman Jurrell Casey (not-injured related) missed practiced again on Friday but he's also good to go.
