NASHVILLE – Titans quarterback Will Levis did not practice on Wednesday, and his status for Sunday's game vs the Seahawks remains unclear.
Coach Mike Vrabel on Wednesday said if Levis is unable to go, Ryan Tannehill would be the team's starter, and Malik Willis would be the back-up.
"We will see how he goes throughout the week," Vrabel said of Levis. "(Will) is like every other player that won't (practice), they're doing everything they can do get back and then we'll have to make a decision on their availability based on their health.
"Ryan would be the quarterback if Will is unavailable."
Levis left Sunday's game against the Texans in overtime with an ankle injury, and never returned.
Levis said on Wednesday he's seen improvement with the ankle.
"I am feeling better than I did yesterday, which is all I am looking to do, to get my body in the best spot to be able to play," Levis said. "I am playing if I am able to, and I am just working to try and get to that point. … I definitely feel a lot better than I did Sunday, Monday, and hopefully it continues to go that way."
Levis completed 17-of-26 passes for 199 yards in Sunday's game, with an interception and no touchdowns.
Pass protection failed Levis against Houston, especially down the stretch. Levis was sacked seven times in the contest, including six times in the second half and overtime combined.
In eight NFL starts, Levis has thrown for 1,792 passing yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions.
"As far as I am concerned, I think if you are able to play, you play," Levis said. "That's the mindset I have always played with, and that's how I am going to approach this.
"I want to go out there and play good ball, and help our team win games."
