NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans tight end Delanie Walker continues to build one of the top seasons of his nine-year career.
Against the Browns last week he had four more receptions for 47 yards, bringing his season totals to 26 catches, 364 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Walker ranks first in the AFC among tight ends in receptions and receiving yards. Among all NFL tight ends, he ranks second at his position in receiving yards behind only Saints tight end Jimmy Graham (376), and his reception total trails just three players: Graham (34), Chicago's Martellus Bennett (32) and Carolina's Greg Olsen (27).
In 2013, Walker's first season with the Titans after signing as a free agent from the San Francisco 49ers, he set career marks with 60 receptions for 571 yards. If he maintains his current pace, he would finish the 2014 campaign with 83 catches for 1,164 yards. Both numbers would set new records for franchise tight ends by a wide margin. In 1998, Frank Wycheck recorded organizational highs for tight ends with 70 receptions and 768 receiving yards.
