Day 2 of Titans Camp: Training Camp Observations

NASHVILLE – The Titans took the field for Day 2 of training camp on Thursday at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

Here's a look at what stood out:

-The Titans spent a whole lot of time working in individual drills and in walk-through periods, part of the acclimation period at the start of camp. Things are expected to get more intense in the coming days. The first practice in pads is scheduled for Monday.

-Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who went 11-of-11 on Day One of camp, mostly threw soft tosses in the walk-through, so I'm not going to add to his total in this report.

-Wrestling legend Ric Flair, aka "The Nature Boy", watched the end of today's practice and then broke down the team in the huddle.

Flair, who said he was a fan of Titans coach Mike Vrabel during his playing days with the Patriots, said Titans running back Derrick Henry is his favorite NFL player.

Flair is set to return to the ring one final time, as part of "Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match" wrestling event on July 31 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. The 16-time former World Heavyweight Champion will don a new custom-made robe and bring the one-of-a-kind showmanship that has made Flair a cultural icon for his over-40 years in the professional wrestling business.

-Titans first-round pick Treylon Burks was back on the practice field on Thursday, and he looked good in individual drills. During a special teams period, Burks fielded punts along with Mason Kinsey, Kyle Philips and Terry Godwin, who was signed earlier in the day.

-After the practice session, tight end Austin Hooper put in some extra time with Tannehill.

-Former Titans linebacker Tim Shaw attended practice.

-Godwin was decked out in No. 80 in his first practice with the team.

-Kicker Caleb Shudak, linebacker Monty Rice and tight end Tommy Hudson did not practice, as they're on the team's Physically Unable to Perform list at the start of camp.

-Former University of Tennessee and Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Ramon Foster, now co-host of JMart&Ramon on 104.5-FM, was at practice decked out in a Roberto Clemente Pirates uniform.

Next practice: Friday, 9:30 a.m.
