INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts cornerback Jerraud Powers is expected to miss an indefinite number of games after having surgery on his broken right forearm.
Coach Jim Caldwell says the team is waiting to see how surgery goes before making a decision about putting him on injured reserve.
Powers has two interceptions this season and is fourth on the Colts with 53 tackles.
Losing Powers is yet another blow to an already depleted secondary. Bob Sanders went down six minutes into the season-opener and hasn't played since. Melvin Bullitt, Sanders' replacement, sustained a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 4.
Starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden missed last week's game with a neck injury and it's not certain whether he'll play Thursday at Tennessee.
