HEAD COACH KEN WHISENHUNT**
(On the ball being on the ground too much)
It's practice. I don't make too much out of one day of practice. It's one practice in camp. I don't think I've ever been in a camp where there hasn't been bad practices at one time or another. It's really about how you respond. There was not all bad; there were some good things. Defense did a good job today.
(On coming off of a preseason game)
Today's practice was tough. It was a lot of reps. It was a padded practice. The defense was stinging a little bit because of criticism for not playing it the way they should have the first series, so they responded. Offense will get a chance to respond tomorrow.
(On Andy Levitre getting reps)
You've got to start somewhere. You've got to work him in there, you've got to see those things to try to correct it. I said, I think, I week or two ago, that we were going to try to work him in at that position. That's a viable thing. He's done it, he's got to get work at it. That's where you do it, in practice, especially this time, so you can continue to work on it.
(On Taylor Thompson's progress)
I didn't know a whole lot about Taylor (Thompson) when I got here. I've been impressed with Taylor. He's done a nice job. There are a lot of things about the position that he's still learning. We're asking him to do some things that probably he hasn't done or hasn't been used to, but I love the way he's responding. If he'd made the one catch in the game the other night, it would have been a great night for him. It still was a good night for him, he's doing a lot of good things.
