NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The last delay in Chance Warmack signing his contract was his desire to make sure he had a good fit on his helmet and shoulder pads before he went upstairs at Saint Thomas Sports Park on Monday afternoon.

The guard who was selected from the 10th overall spot in the 2013 NFL Draft was the final first-round pick to agree to terms with his respective team. The deal had been reached earlier Monday, a day after Warmack's former teammate at Alabama Dee Milliner, the ninth-overall pick, agreed to a deal with the New York Jets.
"I arrived late last night in Nashville hoping it would get done today or the next day because I was ready to get started," Warmack said.
He didn't bring a special pen to sign the contract but smiled broadly as the ink dried. The business part has been completed, and it's now time to go to work, he said.
"I'm excited and happy to get started," said Warmack, who will join the Titans on the field Tuesday. Monday was an off-day for players to rest and recover from four straight days of camp practices.
Titans coach Mike Munchak said the elimination of a rule that prohibited a player from wearing pads in his first two days at camp will help the Titans get Warmack in the mix as soon as possible.
"He can jump right in," Munchak said Friday. "We'll obviously be smart with how we do that" in terms of limiting reps at the beginning of this week.
Fans will be able to catch their first glimpse of the first-round pick in person at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in a practice that is free and open to the public. Video of periods of that practice will also be **streamed live on** Tennessee Titans Mobile, the team's free and official app.
Munchak said Warmack's participation during the team's offseason program will also be beneficial. The coach also said he was confident that Warmack would be in shape when he reported to camp.
"He got a ton of reps for six weeks when he was here, so that's the real positive thing," Munchak said. "The biggest thing is that he's working out and he's in good shape when he gets here."
Warmack, the only player selected from the 10th spot in the NFL Draft in Titans/Oilers franchise history, made it clear before the draft that he wanted to play for Munchak and offensive line coach Bruce Matthews, who each made the Pro Football Hall of Fame after their selection in the top 10 of consecutive drafts (1982-83) by the Houston Oilers.
After starting 45 games at Alabama and helping the Crimson Tide win three national titles in four seasons, Warmack's next goal became more realistic when Tennessee selected him on April 25. Warmack, however, said he and his family are still processing the reality of his multi-year contract.
"They're still going over some stuff, but I'm pretty sure we'll be able to talk amongst each other tonight (on the phone) before I've got to go to practice tomorrow," Warmack said, "so it will settle in in a few hours."
